How much pressure do we carry from our own ideals of morality and “holiness”? 😇
In striving to be better, purer, more righteous, we often unconsciously suppress many of our own desires and impulses – and judge ourselves when we notice them. And then, in the same way, we measure and judge others. 👨⚖️
In the Paradox-x workshop “And Narcissus and Goldmund” we take a pause to explore what lies behind this inner pressure and division – the same struggle that tormented Hesse himself.
We discover that impulses we call “negative” are not enemies, but parts of our personalities carrying hidden potential. And we see how judgment, of ourselves and of others, keeps us from uniting what longs for wholeness within us.
Life is never simply black or white. When we begin to paradoxically bring together what once seemed irreconcilable, we open space for a new sense of completeness and fulfilment. 🌗
